Charactor Conversion-Opening Word 2003 Documents in Word 2007
When I open documents in Word 2007 that were created by others in Word 2003,
some characters are being converted. For example, all apostrophes are converted to equal signs, dashes are converted to exclamation points. Anyone have a solution? |

Those would be documents originally created in WordPerfect, which uses
nonstandard fonts for some such symbols. One way to fix it would be to Find/Replace each wrong character individually. If you have a lot of these documents, you could make a macro.
