Default why does the print page range in word not print anything eg 1-5

Word 2003+XP, in file print when you select a range of pages eg 1-5 nothing
prints.

The page range box works from the page numbering as it would be displayed by
a Page field. If your document doesn't have pages numbered 5 or less,
possibly because you changed the startiing page number in the Format Page
Number dialog, then nothing will print for the range 1-5.

If your document has multiple sections, see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting...leSections.htm.
