Default Curser Position at Start Up

I am using Word 2003 and have been for some time. But recently every time I
start a new document the default position for the curser seems to be in the
header. I have tried deleting the Normal Template but this does not solve the
problem. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Not really in the header, as you'd see if you had text boundaries displayed.
See http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/WhiteSpace.htm.
