I am trying to embed some logo into a Word 2000 document. How can I convert
the logo to a wmf file to avoid a large file size? |

Neither MS Photo Editor (which comes with Office 2000) or MS
Paint (which comes with Windows) can export to .wmf format. You'll need to convert the file with a graphics editing program. Topsed wrote: I am trying to embed some logo into a Word 2000 document. How can I convert the logo to a wmf file to avoid a large file size? |

I have Photoshop 6.0 but when I open the file and do 'Save As', I do not get
the wmf option. How can I export the file to wmf in Photoshop? I don't have Photoshop, so I don't know if it supports the .wmf
format. It probably doesn't, based on your description. Irfanview supports .wmf files, and it's free at http://www.irfanview.com . Creating a wmf file
Curious I converted a 31kb JPG file to WMF and the file size was 1.39mb!
When inserted into a document, the WMF version produced a document file size 9 times that of the jpg version. You may need to rethink this. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Topsed wrote: I am trying to embed some logo into a Word 2000 document.
