Default Help with endnotes

I'm editing a book with several articles. I have the articles in separate
files and now I want to put them together into one file. The articles have
endnotes but I want each article to begin with note 1. However, if I put the
articles together I don't seem to be able to have every article begin with
note 1. The note numbers simply continue the numbering from the previous
article.

How do I fix this?

Put section breaks between each article. Display the Footnote and Endnote
dialog. Select Numbering Restart each section.
