Default Table in a Word Document

Is there a way to proctect/lock several cells of a table, yet not the entire
document. I have created a document with cells that text can be entered into
and cells that I do not want modified.

http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...nTheBlanks.htm and especially
the forms tutorials by Dian Chapman that this article links to.
