Default Can part of a document be a LOCKED FORM, while the rest remains a.

I want to create a form where the top portion of the document is a locked
form that the user cannot alter, but the rest of the document remains an
editable Microsoft Word document.

Insert a section break, either continuous or next-page, between the two
parts. Use the dialog Tools Protect Document (not the lock icon on the
toolbar). When you click Forms, the Sections button becomes active. Click
that and uncheck the section that should be editable.

There are quite a few functions that won't work as long as any part of the
document is protected. If you run into those limitations, c'mon back for
advice.
