Default Word should allow me to display change bars after changes have be.

There are a lot of users that could benefit from an option in Word to display
change bars after changes have been accepted. When using controlled documents
we need a method to identify what has changed with the current revision of a
document.

Jezebel,
Baloney!
Compare Documents in Word gives useless data for 90% of the output. They
need to do it like Adobe FrameMaker does document comparison...

The change as suggested is needed in controlled document environments. It is
annoying the feature works this way and doesn't provide the capability to
apply a format for the characters in a selection basis for the change bars.

It does already. Run Compare documents between the successive versions.

Thanks RAFster,

Even if "compare documents" worked properly, at best it would be a half a**
work-around for an option that should exist as a simple checkbox with a few
properties (location, color, weight, & style).

Does Microsoft actually look at these discussion groups? Is there a better
way for us to make product suggestions?

They say they look at the suggestion posts, especially if they get votes.
This is the new and improved method of sending feedback.
