I have inserted some new full width rows in my table (in which some of the
higher cells in coumns are mereged).

In some of my new cells in the row I do not have the sun symbol which is
where characters are palced when I type them.

What can I do to be allowed to type in the cell?

Gary,
Try pressing ctrl+Q in those cells which should set the paragraph straight.
It could be you just applied an indent or some other paragraph formatting
accidently.

Thanks. I did not know about that. was successful just using the format
painter from a nearby cell that did have the "sun" symbol in it.
