Default Word 2000 Bottom of Documnet problem

I have a document which is less than a full page. I am using Word 2000
with WinXP Professional. If I have the insertion point in the document
and press CTRL+PAGE UP the insertion point moves to the start of the
document. If however with the insertion point there and I press
CTRL=PAGE DOWN the insertion point remains at the top of the document.
If I add lines at the top to cause a second page to be created and I
then click on CTRL+PAGE DOWN the insertion point moves to the start of
the next to last line in the document.

What is my problem? Are there defaults which are causing this?

Are you trying to move to the end and beginning of the document? If so Ctrl +
Home will take you to the beginning, and Ctrl + End will take you to the end
of the document. Using Page Up or Down will move a screen's worth of text.
Does this help?

Ah! Right you are. I guess I had a mental lapse. At 73 I guess I can
overlook it once. Thanks Rae
