Default Mail merge adding extra digits to merge

Hi,
i have an excell spreadsheet populated with data, currently the data is in
the "number" format, so 0.43 apprears as such.

when i try to do a mail merge, the data for 0.43 now appears as
0.42999999999999999

How do i make mail merger work, so that it takes the exactly as is, and
places it in the merge as it is on the excell sheet.

here is the mergefield data.... { MERGEFIELD "PCB_congener_28" }

i have been trying the diffrent formats and nothing changes it.

Any help appreciated.
Damien
