Is there a way to suppress the initial paragraph for each page? I have a
form (RTF format) that somehow I removed the initial paragraph and can
position the top of the form where I want it. The form is also designed to
print 2 pages on each page. The problem occures after the first form when
Word inserts a paragraph after the page break. It's the default font and
size and I tried adjusting the Normal style but that had no affect.

I'm using Word 2002.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

What you are saying doesn't make much sense unless we're talking about
tables (which might be used to give you two "labels" on one page). You can
eliminate the space between table rows by deleting the empty paragraph, but
if the problem is caused by a header, you'll need to change the header
margin to 0".

Thank you for the reply.

The form is a table but don't think it's causing the paragraph after the
page break. I'm trying to fit two of the forms onto one page but Word is
adding a paragraph (times roman 12 pt) after the page break which it inserts.
The paragraph wouldn't affect me if it can be controlled but I haven't
figured out how to do that. My default font and size was times roman 12 pt
so i figured by changing the normal settings to times roman 1pt Word would
use that as the paragraph after the page break but it keeps using the 12pt.

Perhaps I should have mentioned that this form is being used with a mail
merge. Looking at the output with show/hide on, in summary,
1. the table
2. paragraph (times roman 1pt I now think this is the default paragraph)
3. page break
4. paragraph (times roman 12pt inserted by Word)

In a "label" type mail merge, Word inserts section breaks between pages, so
that may be part of the problem. You will have to have some kind of
plain-text paragraph between table cells if you want them not to be part of
the same table, but this might be easier to control if you instead set this
up as a "catalog" (or "directory") merge, starting with a single cell for
your merge fields, followed by your 1-pt separator. Decrease the bottom
margin enough to allow for the extra 1-pt paragraph below the second table
cell, and the third cell should start at the top of the second page.
