Hi ?B?Z3JhY2U=?=,

how do you insert a section break before and after an embedded object?

That's a tricky one... What kind of textflow formatting does the object
have? Is it in-line with the text, or floating?

And which version of Word.

I have a list of items that have hyperlink's attached to them, that describe
the items. Is that what you mean by textflow formatting? And yes it's in-line
with the text.

Text flow formatting is the text wrap style, so I'm not sure we're clear on this
point...

If you click on a picture, boxes appear around the edges. Are these black or
white?

Okay, perhaps you are correct we are not on the same page. My problem lies in
protecting a document with hyperlinks. I want to be able to see the
hyperlinks, but I can't seem to do so when I protect the document. The
document that I have is on Word. So you see I will be using this document on
a sharded drive which people will have access to it, but I don't want them to
change the format. So how can I protect the document and enable the hyperlink
to work?

I'm still not sure all the points about your document are clear. I'll answer
your original question, literally, but no guarantees that it applies to the
actual situation.

1. Position the cursor in an empty paragraph before the object.

2. Insert/Break and select "Continuous"

3. Position the cursor in an empty paragraph after the object and repeat (2)

4. Tools/Protect Document. Click the "Sections" button (or link, depending on
the interface you have). Deactivate the checkbox next to the sections that
should NOT be protected

5. Finish protecting the document.
