Can I use Style Headings to make a chronological TOC?
Please help the following:
If I have a company handbook of policies, each numbered sequentially and the title of each marked as a Style Heading, can I use Word somehow to create a list at the end of the document that displays them in ascending or descending order? They are not in this order in the handbook and can't be put in that order. I will elaborate if necessary! Thanks! |

A TOC *is* "chronological," in the sense that it lists headings in the order
in which they appear in the document. If you want them in numeric or alphabetical order, would an index work for you? -- Suzanne S.
