I'm wondering how, working in Word '07, I can set up printing two side by
side, mirrored, planner pages on one 8.5" x 11" sheet in landscape
orientation.

If you really mean mirrored, then you would need to create a two page
document in 8.5 x 11 portrait format with the second page a mirror of the
first page and then use the Two pages per sheet facility in the Print
dialog.

If however you just mean two identical copies of the planner page on a
single sheet of paper, just create a one page document in 8.5 x 11 portrait
format and use the same Two pages per sheet facility, but this time in the
Pages to print section of the Print dialog, enter 1, 1
