Default Form fields disappear when protected

Hi,
I 'm not sure if this should be posted here or elsewhere, but I have a form
that uses a table to create a column layout. When I protect the form (Tools
Protect Document) all my form fields disappear. I don't have extra random
carriage returns anywhere and I can't figure out why the form looks fine
until I add prtection. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Hi there

Field shading is turned off by default when a form is protected. To switch
it back on click the "a" icon on the forms toolbar (when the doc is
unprotected); the icon is to the right of the insert frame icon.
