Default how to type in maths symbols like division sq root etc?

Some symbols can be entered from the Mathematical Operators character subset
of the Symbol dialog (see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/InsertSpecChars.htm). For complex
equations, use the Equation Editor.
