Why won't Word add bullets to text that had been indented?
I'm editing a manuscript in which the author had manually indented several
portions of text (by hitting the space bar). I moved the text back to left align, but now Word refuses to bullet it. When I place the cursor in front of the selected text, the bullet icon goes blank. Wassup? |

Why won't Word add bullets to text that had been indented?
Hi Jerry
1. Try triple-clicking the offending paragraphs and then do ctrl-q and ctrl-spacebar. That will remove any direct formatting applied to the text. 2. Now, do ctrl-Shift-l (l for leather). That will apply the List Bullet style, which is the safest and most reliable way of applying bullets. If that doesn't apply a bullet, then you'll need to modify the List Bullet style accordingly. Hope this helps. Shauna Kelly.
