Insert " Yours truly, Sincerly, Thank You ect..." auto
Hello
I have googled, used Word 2007 help and have not been able to figure out away to add closing auto signature to a letter, like "Yours truly, Regards, All the best ect...." There seemed to be a drop down menu on older version which would let you select several good byes. One site I found said this option is no longer availble, can anyone help/ Thank You, Robert |

Hi Robert,
Those entries in earlier versions of Word were part of the prepackaged AutoText entries included. They're not part of the new 'Document Parts' feature of Word in Insert=QuickParts=Building Blocks Organizer, but if you have Normal.dot or Email.dot from your prior version and add it to the PC with Word 2007 you can use the Template dialog (Alt, T, I) to attach either one of those and then the previous entries will appear in the Building Blocks Organizer. You can then, while in the organizer, edit the properties for 'Save In' to move a copy of the entry into the Building Blocks, Normal.dotm (Word 2007 replacement of .dot) (or other) template and they'll be available after that when you start Word. You can also add an AutoText gallery to the Quick Access Toolbar from Office Button=Word Options=Customize=Commands not in the Ribbon and choose 'AutoText'. If you then attach the old email.dot or Normal.dot before clicking on the QAT AutoText then the old entries will be available there, with live preview, without all of the other categories of the Building Block Organizer. ============== wrote in message ...
