How do I set page breaks in the master document without setting them into the
subdocument?

I have subdocuments that have unique headers and footers, with text boxes
that overlap each other without page breaks. But when I add the page breaks,
the master document looks good, but the subdocuments have a page break when
opened separately. Is there a way to set the page breaks between the
subdocments without affecting the subdocument formats?

Can you reproduce the problem if you create a new master document for testing
purposes?

Also, note that most people avoid master documents because they tend to
corrupt documents. See
