Default Page Number Orientation

All--

I have many landscape pages in my dissertation, but the numbering needs to
remain horizontal according to the dissertation lady. Word dutifully puts
the number in the right cornor, but when the page is flipped up, the number
runs south to north. Anyway to change the orientation of page numbers
within the headings?

Regards,
Sam
