Status bar hidden. Have done the tools/options/view status bar- still don't
see it |

Probably not the issue, but just in case... Is your Word window Maximized? If

That was it-I needed to maximize my Word window-thanks so much!

Glad it helped - But keep in mind that you don't have to keep the window
maximized in order to see the Status Bar as long as you drag the window high enough *or* modify the Task Bar properties.
