Before today, I could always see the top and bottom edges of my paper along
with the gray marks where the left and right margins were. Today, I see
those margin marks at the top and bottom of the screen, and it doesn't show
me the space where the header and footer would go. Why is this?

Tools Options View check "White space between pages."

I also had the same phenomenon occur ...One day the top and bottom margins
were being displayed, and the next day the weren't. Does anybody know why
this seems to spontaneously happen?
