For word 2007 I click file--word options--proofing and the hide spelling
errors is always check and it won't let me uncheck it. So i uncheck and
recheck check spelling as you type. This allows hide spelling errors as you
type to no longer become gray, then i uncheck the box for hide spelling
errors. I close it and then i open the options back up and its checked again
and gray. The spell check dosen't work for anything, even if spell check
hides everything it still dosen't check the words if they are spelled wrong.
