drop down lists
I am creating a form for filling out Purchase Orders. I have set it up so
that the user selects the name of one of our suppliers and I would like to have that companies address show up after a user selects the company name. This would obviously be different for each company and too large to fit in a drop down list. Is this function possible? |

drop down lists
Hi ?B?bWlrZWg=?=,
I am creating a form for filling out Purchase Orders. I have set it up so that the user selects the name of one of our suppliers and I would like to have that companies address show up after a user selects the company name. This would obviously be different for each company and too large to fit in a drop down list. Is this function possible? Possible, but would require a macro. Since there are many possible permutations, when one starts discussing where all this information should be stored, I recommend you ask in the word.vba newsgroup. Be sure to provide the following information: 1. Version of Word 2. How you'd like to manage the full information. Putting it in your code might not be efficient. An Word or Excel table or even a database might be better 3. Consider how many companies there may be. If there are more than 25, you cannot use a form field. Perhaps a user form for collecting (some of) the information would be better. The more precisely you can formulate your requirements, the more quickly people can help you :-) Cindy Meister INTER-Solutions, Switzerland http://homepage.swissonline.ch/cindymeister (last update Jun 17 2005) http://www.word.mvps.org This reply is posted in the Newsgroup; please post any follow question or reply in the newsgroup and not by e-mail :-) |
