Default Problems formatting envelope address font/size

I am trying to change the default settings for the font type & size for the
return and delivery address using the Options button dialog box (which
appears after clicking the envelopes button in the mailings section).

This does change the font type & size for the current envelope but does not
seem to remain permanently as the next time that I click on the envelopes
button, even if I am still in the same document.

I do click the default button and answer that I want to change the default
envelope address font and that it will affect all new documents based on the
NORMAL template, but this does not seem to result in any permanent changes.

Any idea what I am doing wrong and how to fix this problem so that it uses
my new font type & size without having to change it each time?

Thanks,

Mark

Edit the envelope address and envelope return paragraph styles and ensure
the changes are saved in the template -

Graham,

Thanks for your reply.

I followed the instructions to the letter with my Word 2007 program and it
did not work at all. It still uses the headings format and I can't change the
font type or size.

Also, why does the simple default button not work when it states that it
will will affect all new documents based on the NORMAL template?

The default button, provided the normal template is saved between Word uses,
should set the Envelope Address Paragraph style for envelopes created from
the normal template. If you are creating envelopes from a document template
the settings stored in the normal template will be superceeded by the
settings in the envelope address style of the document template.

If you are creating envelopes from the normal template and the settings do
not stick, open the normal template (normal.dotm) in Word and make the
changes directly to the envelope styles in it. Then save and close.

I have the same problem. I have tried the solutions given without results. I could not find the normal.dotm to edit. Not enough information.
