I have a third party template program that uses it's own toolbars. On of the
toolbars remains visible when you exit and enter and the other needs to be
reenabled each time. Is there a toolbar setting in Word that prevents this
toolbar from remaining?

I'm not quite sure what you are saying happens but it is not caused by
anything in Word itself. Toolbars are held in the Template and whether they
are visible or hidden depends on what the template does with them. Can you
explain in a little more detail what is happening - what you mean by exiting
and entering and reenabling.

Hi Richard:

Yes, there is, but it's up to the manufacturer of the third party template
to set it correctly.

If you can get into their code, add the ".Visible" parameter to the call to
that toolbar in the macro that they run on document open.

ActiveDocument.commandbars("mytoolbar").visible = true

Will force it into view for you.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, write them a stern letter and make
them do it for you :-)
