Default How to restrict users from modifying Header and Footer information

I have created a letterhead in Word. I have some information in the Header
and Footer area. How do I lock users from editing information in the Header
and Footer area. I was able to do it by modifying the Word Macros for Header
and Footer, but I was thinking if there was any easier way of doing it.
Thanks
