I have WORD 2003 document which I am trying to amend by enterng new paragraph
and change bullet point numbers. When changing numbers I keep getting format
bullet points in red letters message at right side of document, what does
this mean and how can I change to correct numbers Please?

You have Track Changes enabled. The numbering of your paragraphs will not be
correct until you turn Track Changes off and Accept All Changes in Document.
