Default Auto Populate

I am working with a Word template and have to enter the same information in
multiple parts of the word document. Is there any way I can format the
document so that I just enter something once (like an ID#) and set the
document to automatically populate this information wherever else I designate
it to poplutate?

Default Auto Populate

Either I am looking for something more advanced or I am not completely
understanding this process.

I would like to be able to set up a template that can be used over and over
but changing a piece of text throughout the document by typing it only once.
So if I input a company name once it is populated in 10 other places
throughout the document automatically without any other steps necessary. Is
this possible?

Thanks,
Ron

Yes. First, define the location where you will originally enter the info
as a bookmark. Then, in the other locations, insert a cross-reference to
that bookmark.
