How do I align bracketed numbers in Word columns?
I'm working on financial statements (set up in tables), and the negative
numbers are indicated with brackets. This throws out the alignment with normal numbers. Does anyone know how to 'nudge' the bracketed numbers over so things look right in the columns? Word 2000 professional version. Thanks! |

Use a decimal tab stop. This will align the numbers irrespective of the
brackets. See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/SettingTabs.htm -- Suzanne S.
