I have read everything I can find on the subject of creating or
modifying a table of contents in Word 2003, but no luck. I googled, used Microsoft Help in Office, online and so I am here now. My real problem is that I cannot get the page numbers to justify on the right side, no matter what I do. (I did not tab or space bar them over there, either!) Thoughts? |

If you automatically create a TOC, and choose the style you want for the
TOC, the page numbers justify just fine. If you can, use the built-in heading styles rather than TC fields to form the basis of the TOC. Take a look at http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/TOCTips.htm -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/ which is awesome!
