Default setting font for each level in numbered list

I have customized a numbered list and would like each level to be a different
font. The numbers (1, 1.1, a) appear in the different fonts I set up, but the
text that follows each number does not match the font for the corresponding
level. How do I get the text to match the font of the number?

Have you changed the font for the style that is linked to that numbering
level?

I changed the fonts for the numbers themselves. How do I know what style is
linked?

Have you linked a level to each style as described at
