I do a lot of work with embedded Excel spreadsheets in Word and there have
been many glitches as of late.

To edit the spreadsheet within word, I just normally double click on it.
I've been running into the problem lately where nothing happens when I double
click on the embedded spreadsheet within Word and I'm essentially left with a
corrupt object that I can't do anything with.

Any suggestions on how to avoid this? Your help would really be appreciated.

How about a little more info... what versions of Word, Excel & Windows?
Latest updates/SPs installed? What exactly does 'corrupt' mean in this
scenario?

In the meantime, have you tried other updating techniques, such as
rt+clickWorksheet ObjectEdit, or a single click to EditWorksheet
ObjectEdit? Do you get the same result either way, or if different, what?

Are the objects embedded as new ones or from previously existing workbook
files?
