Default Web site made in Word will not open on another computer.

I made a web site using Word and saved as MHTML. When I put my site on a
disk and took to another computer at work it opened but I lost all my links
and when I try to edit it by using "file/edit with MS Word" it opens in code,
not in a form that I can use. Help! I am not publishing the site, it is an
internal site actually being used just on one computer as a bible of
everything at work.

Hi Ed,

Word and IE both seem to have some trouble reopening MHTML
(single file web sites). In Tools=Options=General in Word
if you turn on 'confirm conversions on open' and then try to
use IE's File=Edit in Microsoft Word are you given the option
to to select HTML as the file type?

What version of Word are you using?

I made the site on Word 2003 and am trying to use it at work on Word 2000.
Both machines use XP. I did some reading and it seems that most people do
not recommend using Word as an web site editor. I might go back to Front
Page. I didnt like FP since it didnt have nearly the formatting that Word
offered but at least I could edit it easy. Thanks for responding. If you
have any more suggestions I am ready.
