Default In word xp, I am prompted to save the normal dot

Every time I open a new document it attributes to it a new number: EX
Document 1, then Document 2, even if the previous one is closed. I am now up
to document 13. Is this normal?

Yes. You will be back to Document1 if you quit Word and restart it.

Or alternatively stop switching off the PC without closing Word and Windows
properly - see http://www.gmayor.com/what_to_do_when_word_crashes.htm
