Default mailmerge

One of our secretary's is trying to use the mailmerge function to create
envolopes but keeps getting denied. A message pops up and says the database
is to large for mailmerge.

Which version of Word? What database are you using (e.g. Access, SQL Server,
MySQL...) , and how many records are in the table being used for the merge?
Can you please quote the exact message?
