Word 2003 won't save symbol shortcuts
This may be the same problem described in several other threads, but then
again, I have no idea. The Problem: I assign keyboard shortcuts in Word 2003 to the "normal" file. These shortcuts work as long as I don't close word. If I do close word and reopen the program, then any shortcuts I have made or any autocorrect assignments I have made are not functional anymore. Could this be a similar problem as described in other threads: "my office word won't save and remember my toolbar settings" "Word will not save normal.dot" Please help. This is driving me crazy. The only other integrated program i am using is endnote 7.0, which is fully functional, and I don't think that is the problem, but honestly, I don't know. Thanks for any suggestions or help |

If you have Acrobat 7 installed (but I suspect you don't), see the last
section of http://www.gmayor.com/lose_that_adob...at_toolbar.htm. Even if Acrobat is not the problem, the solution (Shift+File | Save All) should work. -- Suzanne S. Actually, I forgot to mention that I do have Acrobat 7, and this is the
problem. Thank you so much for your help, the "save all" function did solve the problem. To other readers: The drop down menu in Word 2003 does not have the "save all" command, but the icon can be installed into the toolbar by customizing toolbars. (view | toolbars | customize | file menu) Thanks again Suzanne, you made my day! |

The File menu does have Save All if you press Shift when clicking on File
(which is the meaning of Shift+File | Save All). -- Suzanne S.
