Email from Word 2007

I have seen this question a few times but have not seen a resolution. I need
to be able to email a document that I am working on. i have saved it in word
2003 format, then I click on the microsoft logo in the top left corner and go
to send Email, then i recieve an IMAP error. I am using an exchange server
with outlook. Anyone have a solution?
