Default Turn off the Automatically resize to fit contents option for good

Can you turn this option off so it stays off for good? It is a pain when
creating a table and have to go in and change this every time you make a
table. I don't want my columns to move unless I want them to move. Please

Default Turn off the Automatically resize to fit contents option for good

Hi ?B?THlubg==?=,

Can you turn this option off so it stays off for good? It is a pain when
creating a table and have to go in and change this every time you make a
table.

Unfortunately, there's no way to change the default for this. I agree, it's
a royal pain.

The two choices you have a

1. Create a number of AutoText entries to correspond to the basic table
types you use and insert those when you need a table.

2. Write a macro to replace Word's built-in Insert Table command that turns
off this option as part of the code.
