Default Formatting changes

The formatting changes (i.e., bullets, headings) when exchanging files
between Word users (Versions XP, 2003, and 2000). Is there anyway to retain
these settings within the file itself and not depend on the user's formating
options?

The formatting changes (i.e., bullets, headings) when exchanging files
between Word users (Versions XP, 2003, and 2000). Is there anyway to retain
these settings within the file itself and not depend on the user's formating
options?

First thing to check is whether the "update styles automatically" checkbox is
activated in Tools/Templates and Addins. If it is, turn it off and things
should settle down...
