Default Tables Embedded In Word

I have several tables embedded in a Word 2003 document. When I try to reopen
the table it gives me the following error message "This object is corrupt or
is no longer available." Is there a way to open the file? What is causing
this and is there something I can do to prevent this from happening in the
future.

Hi Tracie,

Have a look at this:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;Q328613

Acoording to Microsoft, the article does not apply to Word 2003, but it
describes pretty good what you experience, and offers a solution. Perhaps you
can use it anyway.

Good luck,

I have tried this before, and have set Norton software to automatically
update daily. I have also tried running the live update prior to opening my
word document. However, neither of these has helped. Any other suggestions?
