Default Word: how to open every document directly to 100% size?

When I open Word documents, I want them to automatically come up 100% size.
I'm tired of opening tiny stuff and having to resize.

Is it just a matter of always maximizing the window?

We use Office XP.

See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/SaveViewAndZoom.htm for some tips, but
in Word 2002 and 2003, achieving consistency may require a macro.
