Hi there, I'm trying to merge an Excel document into Word and the date format
is coming up americanised, ie mmddyy, I prefer the UK date format of ddmmyy,
I've tried to rectify this thr using Shift F9, however the date is coming up
as ddmmyy, however via the merge it is changing of its own accord is there a
known bug or any way to repair this, the versions I'm using are;

Word 2003 SP2
Excel 2003 SP2
XP Pro 2002 SP2

Oh just in case the data source in Excel has the UK date format of ddmmyy too

I was just wondering if you did manage to rectify this problem, as I've
encountered it too and if so, a simple explaination of how you did it would
be really helpful!

Can you please try to look through the various replies to the three
conversations Geri has started on this subject since mid-October and see if
any of the suggestions made in there help? I would also be interested to
hear from Geri whether the problem is now solved - if not, it may be that
there are situations in which none of the various suggestions work, and if
so it would be worth further investigation.

Hi Nicky, I've managed to look through all the posts and the one from Doug
works a treat, so I cut and past his reply for you click on the link and
follow steps 1 to 6 in your excel document then perform the merge fingers
crossed it will work for you too.
