Default Lines and tables

Opened a word doc from a client today, in w2007, that has a line under each
line, similar to lined paper.

Now new docs have a grid, and saved docs are displayed with lines.

How do I stop this.

Probably the drawing grid. On the View tab, clear the check box for
"Gridlines."

On the View tab of the ribbon, in the Show/Hide group, uncheck the Gridlines
