Default How do I set top margin for a Word 07 1st page diff. from rest?

I need to have the first page of my letterhead to have a 3 inch top margin
but I want all other pages to have a 1 inch margin. I have tried page break,
set margin from this point forward, etc.
I want to be able to just type on the first page at the 3 inch starting
point and once I get to page 2, I want it to automatically begin the page
with a 1 inch top margin without having to customize it after it is typed.

Anyone know how I can set this up?
