I'm not sure if this is rally a Word 2003/WinXP Home question but here goes.

I downloaded the printout of a powerpoint presentation. It consists of a
set of single page objects (for want of a better term?). Each object is a
page sized box complete with handles. it also contains text.

I'd like to be able to make some edits to the text. But the object, as it
appears on the screen doesn't permit it.

Is there a simple, or even a not-so-simple way to do this? Would any other
programs do the trick? OCR, One-Note?

If it's a PowerPoint object, you usually can edit by right-clicking,
choosing Presentation Object - Edit.

Unfortunately, it's not a PPT file. It looks like someone converted a PPT
to a word doc with each slide appearing as a single frame - one per page

If when you select one of the objects and then click on the Format menu,
does the Picture item appear in the list of things that can be formatted?

If it does, about the only thing that you can do in Word will be change the
size of the object.
