Hi
A second blue blank screen appears when I open Word or Exel.Only the Office
button is visible in the left top corner on the blue blank screen.When I
close Word or Exel the blank blue screen remains and must be closed
separately.Has anybody any idea?

Does this happen in Safe Mode. From Start, Run type in

winword /a

and press enter. What happens?

Word opened normal in save mode via the run command winword /a.I was unable
in safe mode to save the open word document.Word opens also in normal mode
from Start, Run,winword /a .On the blue blank screen after opening word all
other choices i.e Home,Insert,Page Layout....are grayed out.
My OS is vista business.

It suggests that you have legacy incompatible third party add-in. You need
to find the culprit and remove it.

Hi Terry

Today as I open Word both interfaces appeared again. This time I closed the
blue blank interface on the taskbar.After I'd finished my work I saved &
closed the word document.Since that time onwards no more blue interfaces
appear anymore.It's weird.
