Is there any way to 'embed' an image into a margin area more or less
like one can embed an image (or text) into a header or footer area? A
client's letterhead needs to be moved to word for some uses where they
won't be printing on printed letterhead bond; and they have company info
in header, footer, and left margin.

I don't suppose it's possible to do anything with the real margin, but
rather create an vertical full height area near a very narrow margin
which would contain the client's side image?

It has to repeat for every page, and not be the main area where text is
entered (just like header/footer)

I wonder if the way to go is to convert the letterhead image into
something like a watermark?
