Default page numbering

I am trying to number pages that have different headers on the odd and even
pages. I can get the numbering right without having the different odd and
even pages checked in page setup but when I check that and put my headers in,
the even page numbers disappear. Is there any way to correct this situation
and keep my different headers and all my page numbers?

Thanks,
Robin

It sounds as if you've used Insert | Page Numbers to insert your page
numbers. They'll have been inserted in frames; delete them. Then, after
enabling "Different odd and even," set up your Odd Page Header and Even Page
Header as desired, using the Insert Page Number button on the Header and
Footer toolbar to insert the number where you want it.

If you're using Word 2007, the procedure will be a little different.

Hi Robin

Simply re-input the page number field, or copy it from the odd page number page.
